• ISO 9001:2015 certified & BARC licensed nanofiltration (Nano Filtration) TFC dry Membrane Element (NF Membrane) 100 gpd, retains minerals in water around 15% naturally, reduces TDS around 85% (± 5%). Service life around 15,000 (conditions applied) ltrs, flux rate around 26 ltrs per/hr at working pressure 95 PSI. The membrane eliminates all the impurities, germs and contaminants from raw water. Please note that membrane flow rate and TDS may fluctuate depending on the raw water temperature. The results stated above were recorded at a raw water temperature of 23 °C. If the raw water temperature decreases below 23 °C, the membrane flow rate will decrease proportionately.
• KNL Sediment candle (Pore size 5 micron absolute): captures clay, silt, sand, loose scale and other impurities. The filter made from polypropylene and fine sediment cloths, first layer polypropylene (polypropylene is resistant to bacteria) & upper layer fine sediment cloths. • The KNL NF80 membrane along with inline filters need to flush for 30 minutes with using FR 450 and then check result. The TDS will start to reduce gradually and will be stable after 30 minutes. If raw water TDS goes beyond 600 ppm, then antiscallant balls 10 pcs in spun filter hole must be used. The balls enhances membrane life and prevent from early clogging due to excessive hard water. Always use new FR 450 with the membrane, partial blocked FR may lead unsatisfactory result. In case of high rise building or wherever tap water pressure is more than 2 PSI, PRV must be used, else membrane will get damage early.
• Service life is around 15000 ltrs (conditions applied) or 18 months whichever is earlier (subject to use with good quality sediment & activated carbon block carbon). Please note, the failure of prefilter housing along with inferior quality of spun led to pass silt and sand particles to the inline filters causing early damage. Working pressure must be as recommended. In case of high rise building, concrete overhead tank or in similar cases where tap water pressure is excessive, the PRV must be used else the membrane would start to give more TDS and will get damage due to high working pressure.
• Warranty details - The membrane does not cover any warranty. The performance of the membrane and filters depends on user skill with proper installation, feed water quality, and pump with required working pressure (85-90) PSI. Once put to use cannot be taken back except in case of manufacturing defect.
• Contaminants molecule size remain greater than 0.01 microns, germs size from 0.027 microns to 5 microns, water molecule size is 0.000283 microns, dissolve compositions of mineral molecule size remain less than 0.0009 microns, but all NF Membrane pore sizes are 0.0015, 0.0010, 0.0005, 0.0002 microns & RO membrane pore size is 0.0001 microns, therefore the NF Membrane & Ro membrane does the job far better than the UV and TDS controller system.
• Installation guidelines: Before inserting new membrane, make sure the membrane housing is clean else loose particles led to blockage of FR. The KNL NF80 membrane need to flush for 30 minutes and then check the result. Water taste with more TDS may some people feel hard compare to RO water or normal bottle packed water but medically healthy to intake mineral enriched drinking water. Always use new FR 450 with the membrane, partial blocked FR or if used in reverse order the membrane will get damage early/immediately.

Product Description

Nano Filtration Membrane (NF Membrane), 100 GPD, TFC, Dry, ISO certified 9001:2015 & BARC licensed product, pore size 0.0002 microns, Flux Rate around 25 ltrs/hr, reduces TDS around 85% with variation of (± 5%), maintains TDS in purified water up to 15% with variation of (± 5%) naturally. The membrane is suitable for hard water having TDS between 750 ppm to max 1400 ppm. As per WHO, BIS and EPA, the drinking water TDS between 100 ppm to 300 ppm remain in excellent condition. But water taste may vary a little from 100 ppm to 300 ppm. After using the membrane, no need to use TDS Adjuster/Controller that allows impurities in drinking water. Please note water born microbes and virus size lies between of 0.01 micron to 5 microns but membrane pore size much smaller than microbes/viruses’ sizes that ensures 100% elimination of germs/virus and impurities like mercury, lead, uranium, pesticides, herbicides, arsenic, fluoride etc. from drinking water and flushes those impurities through rejected water. KNL sediment filter (5 microns absolute) is made from sediment cloth and polypropylene combinations in two layers; the two ends of wound string has been sealed properly to ensure the elimination of all micro particles. Activated carbon block filter 1000 IV having very high absorption rate of pesticide, herbicides, chlorine, harmful impurities and other toxic elements and therefore absorbs all the harmful chemical and impurities from drinking water and supply chlorine free water to membrane and therefore TFC membrane life enhances. The Coconut Shell activated post carbon (final stage of purification) made from coconut shell and 4.5 inches UF filter inside in combination, therefore the filter serves dual purpose of post carbon & UF filter too. Coconut granules is antibacterial agent and therefore inhibits the growth of bacteria enhances drinking water taste, remove odour and smell.
